I gave Audrey her first taste of vegetables today...green beans! I don't think she knew what to think. We had just finished eating oatmeal, so I think she was very confused to taste something new. She did swallow the first couple of bites and made lots of funny faces while she did so, then she started to spit it out. It was fun to give her something new, and I'm looking forward to all of the new foods we are going to get to try in the coming months. OK, I shouldn't say "we". Audrey will be trying all the new foods. I'm not the kind of mom that needs to try everything she eats....I have no desire to know what it tastes like for her.

Pretty in Purple
I'm experimenting with a flash my brother gave us, so I posed Audrey for lots of pictures today. I'm still trying to figure out the flash, so the lighting isn't quite right in all of these pictures. But Audrey is cute in any light, right? Add I also wanted to show off the new headband and bow that Aunt Nancy made for her! Very cute!!

Mmmm...
I think Audrey was practicing the consonant M today. She kept saying "mmm, mmmm, mmm" over and over and over again. It was cracking me up. She calmed down on the "mmm-ing" when I turned the video camera on. This girl is camera shy! But I caught a little bit of it before she got fussy.

Today
I have slowed down on photographing Audrey and don't take nearly as many pictures as I used to, therefore I haven't been blogging as frequently. But hopefully all of our faithful readers (mostly Audrey's grandparents and aunts and great aunts!) are still out there. For daily pictures, you can check my Daily Photo blog (http://www.emilysdailyphotos.blogspot.com/). Sometimes I have photos of Audrey on there as well.
Audrey has been all about sticking her tongue out lately. Especially when she is excited about something. Here she is excited about kicking her feet against the entertainment center, therefore the tongue is out!
So here are a few pictures from today!
Here's a clean and happy baby after bath time this morning.
This afternoon, I pulled out a rattle that we haven't played with for a while. It was like a brand new toy and kept Audrey's attention for a long time (like 10 minutes or so, which is a long time for Audrey to pay attention to one toy!) Oh, and check out those chubby arms!!

And here she is in the midst of all the toys and fun things we were playing with today.

Happy Easter!!
I was very excited to dress Audrey in her first Easter outfit. And I just love the headband and flower I got for her. While some of my friends have enjoyed making fun of the flower the size of her head (it could work for an umbrella, after all!), I think it is very cute. And Audrey didn't try to take it off at all, so I think that means she likes it too!
Audrey really liked her dress. She tried to pull it up and eat it all morning. Not very lady like, but still very cute!
After we changed Audrey out of her dress, we realized that she matched Daddy. That never happens, so I had to take a picture of them in their matching purples!

More pictures
As Audrey grows, she is starting to enjoy playing in her jumper more and more. She hasn't figured out how to jump/bounce in it yet, so I'm thinking that this toy will become even more fun when she figures out its purpose!

Playing with Daddy
We have a lot of fun trying to make Audrey laugh. She has the cutest laughs, giggles and squeals. Daniel had her cracking up the other day. But when I turned on the video camera, she started to stare at the camera instead. She still gives a few little giggles and smiles in this video though despite the distraction of the camera.
And here are a few recent pictures.
She makes a lot of funny faces when she's playing with her toys.
